  4. I would just like to say a huge *THANKS* for your puppy buying information. Some of the so-called 'breed information' I've tralled through is almost Indecipherable, or just plain unrealistic. I was relieved and grateful to find USABLE and relatable information on your website about the Dogue, its care and what to watch out for.

My partner and I have been keen on the breed for some time, but we thought we'd start with a less chalanging dog to begin with, so as not to overcommit ourselves, and make sure we were prepared for the challenge of owning a large dog. We bought a kelpie/collie cross, who we've named 'Fu' (Foosa). There have been a few little trials, but she is turning into a confident, happy little dog.

We're in the process of building our first home on 2.5acres of land, where we hope to explore our passion for animals further. We have 2 horses, some chooks and the dog at present, but would also like to add a cat and a Dogue to the family. Fu is a beautiful little soul, but I think she's going to be too sensitive for a family dog. Thankfully she'll have plenty of room out at the property to run about and help round up the chickens at the end of the day.

We would be delighted to have a male Dogue (desexed) join our flock when the time is right, and would love (and respect) any advice you could offer us. We live in Albany, WA, but are happy to travel to make sure we get the right dog for us, and visa versa.

    Regards,

    Kristen
