We are expecting puppies in late December Mya x Travis
Dogue de Bordeaux puppies are adorable but remember they grow up to be very large dogs and require a steady hand and exceptional feeding requirements.
We ensure all puppies are sold with a puppy pack that illustrates all of the requirements and health issues associated with most large breeds. ALL of our dogues are health tested and hip scored before any breeding is considered.
Buyer Beware
you should always research your breeder before you but any puppies and make sure that you vist them a couple of times to see the parents and the puppies. You should never purchase a puppy from a litter unless both parents have been health tested (hip and elbow scored).
Dogue de bordeaux like many large breeds are prone to health issues and a responsible breeder will go to great lengths to ensure the genetic quality of both parents are of a quality that minimises the risk of these issues.
Breeders advertising dogues as champions should still be reserached as this does not ensure the quality of the pups and it should be noted that a champions quality does not cancel out the gentic problems inherited from a lesser dog. SO PLEASE MAKE SURE BOTH DOGS are of a suitable standard and have both been health tested.
Regardless of your desire to own a PET or SHOW quality dogue, you should not settle for lesser standards from the breeder or the parents.
We are unfortunately being flooded with rescues because people are buying dogues without researching the breeder and then when the health issues occur at around 9-12 months the poor dogues are being discarded.
